Some jokes are getting old and it shows.

Read that again. I am not a feminist. At least not a hardcore one. But I think I'm old and capable enough to make an educational judgement about people who take it as a joke.  Let me tell you, In my really tiny circle of friends, we have fought about things countless of times, we've had disagreements but in the end we all stand on the ground rule of not stepping on each others believes.  I so far haven't associated someone who disrespected me because I am a girl. I haven't had close conversations with someone one that degraded me for who I was and made me feel embarrassed for what I believed in or chose to follow. I'm not going to vent my anger here, because it's already dealt with, but I've reached the peak point of telling people that they shouldn't be involved in trying to mold someone out of their opinions, because honestly, no one has the time for that sort of negative energy.  Does a woman/girl want to be a feminist ? A shade darker than 'white'

And so can't we. My previous post was written in late March. Just for contemplation-sake I'd say that I expected May and June to be the new start for this year, it might as well would have been called January. Where things would be sound and we could spend the rest of the 6 months feeling a bit more normal than we are used to feeling.  If the knee that choked George lifted in time, the wake up call for the community wouldn't be here. Imagine you talking about your child, on a stage, saying "my kid is so gifted" and someone snatches the mic to comment "all children are gifted". I think people of America needed this as a reason to break the already-broken economy to fathom about an issue we thought that was long buried. Riots never reached it's climax.
